Who can dethrone Amitabh Bachchan from his Twitter top slot?
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Find out

Age and
hectic schedules have not deterred Amitabh Bachchan from being active on social
media. In fact, he can give many of our younger stars a run for their money
when it comes to connecting with fans on Twitter.
So, it’s
no wonder that Big B has emerged as the Indian with the highest number of
Twitter followers -- over 19 million!
Now that
Amitabh is reigning supreme, are you wondering who his competitors (read
potential threats) are? SpotboyE takes a look at the top five:
Narendra
Modi

The Prime
Minister stands second in the race with 17,513,071 people following him. With
every country he visits, he makes a million more fans. The fastest growing
Indian celeb on Twitter, he even beat Shah Rukh Khan a couple of months ago.
With such a pace, it won’t be long before he surpasses Big B.

SRK has
been on Twitter since January 2010. With 17,480,701 followers, he poses tough
competition to Big B. King Khan has three releases this year -- Fan, Raees and
the yet untitled Gauri Shinde project -- and it’s highly likely that they will
boost his fan base on social media.
Aamir Khan

Mr
Perfectionist, who has been on Twitter since November 2009, has a staggering
16,186,220 followers. When PK released in 2014, his fan following grew rapidly.
However, with no releases throughout the year and the ‘intolerance’ controversy
haunting him, Aamir’s social media ‘growth rate’ reduced drastically in 2015.
Will he be able to resurrect with Dangal?
Salman
Khan

Salman
became a Twitterati in April 2010 and has 15,833,937 followers. He is
possibly the only Indian who enjoys a huge fan base in Pakistan -- a fact that
can be hugely attributed to the blockbuster success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo also earned him a lot of fans
among senior citizens. With Sallu planning to promote Being Human in a big way
-- there’s also his next release Sultan -- there’s no doubt his fan base will
grow. But will he topple Big B from the numero uno position on Twitter?
Deepika
Padukone

The leggy
lass is the only lady who poses a threat to Big B’s top position. She beat
Hrithik Roshan last year and now stands at 13,044,045 followers. While Piku and
Bajirao Mastani did well at the box-office, Tamasha won over the critics. With
Dippy going global this year -- she will feature alongside Vin Diesel in
Hollywood’s hit XXX franchise -- will she give her Piku co-star a tough fight
for the top position?
